[BRIEF]

Habits is a habit-tracking assistant app designed to help users build positive routines and bring more structure to their daily lives. Users can create new habits, track them in a to-do list format, receive reminders, and monitor their progress over time. With the support of an AI assistant, the habit-building process becomes more personalized, motivating, and sustainable.

The experience focuses on making habit creation simple and engaging: users select a category, define the frequency and reminders, and instantly add it to their routine. Progress is visualized through clear to-do lists and achievement tracking, while notifications provide gentle encouragement. Over time, users build consistency, feel motivated by their growth, and maintain healthier, more balanced lifestyles.

[DEFINING THE PERSONA]

The project description gave me a lot of insights about the persona. However, after researching existing products in the market, their potential users, and the value propositions they offer, I decided to first clarify my own persona before making any design decisions. My persona is someone who has just stepped into professional life, facing new responsibilities, and wanting to strengthen and increase their beneficial habits.

[DESIGN APPROACH AND VISUAL IDENTITY]

At the same time, since this person is constantly bombarded with mobile apps and notifications, I aimed for a design where they could receive much simpler and clearer reminders, and track or create habits across different categories with very few taps. After defining this persona, I drew the ideal user flows and began shaping the design accordingly.

For the visual identity, I defined geometric elements (patterns and colors) that could help in creating categories. To bring a sense of simplicity into the app interface, I selected a sans serif font inspired by Swiss graphic design. I combined this with a pastel color palette to add playful touches within the minimal look and to make categorization easier.

[INTERFACE DESIGN]

I researched common favorite habits, grouped them by frequency, and built categories to make the experience more intuitive. Within the interface, each category was presented with clear labels and consistent visual cues, helping users quickly identify and select the habits they wanted to build. Under each category, I listed the most preferred habits, ensuring that new users could start with familiar options instead of feeling overwhelmed. The interface was designed to minimize friction - habits appear in a simple to-do list format, supported by subtle visual hierarchy and accessible interaction patterns, so users can easily create, edit, and track their routines.
